There are many ways to decorate a matchbox (if you don’t have one, you can buy an empty one to make), but with Father’s Day fast approaching, we decided to decorate our matchbox into a little tuxedo, and ! , the result is lovely.

How to Make Tuxedo Matchbox Crafts

what do you need:

  • A box of matches (real or empty, such as those you can buy online)
  • black paper
  • White paper (or white paint if you’re using a store-bought unbranded matchbox)
  • red paper
  • test
  • glue
  • A pair of scissors

Step-by-step instructions

Draw the outline of a matchbox on white paper. You can outline with a pencil.

Cut out the rectangle as described.

Stick it on the matchbox.

You can also paint the matchbox white.

Switch to black paper: you’ll need a long strip the length of the matchbox.

Cut the black strip.

Apply glue to one end, and place the matchbox on the strip (the side without the white paper touching the glue).

Wrap the paper around the matchbox to make the “edge”.

How to Make Tuxedo Matchbox Crafts

What do you need:
a box of matches (a real one or an empty matchbox like the boxes you can buy online)
