Truth Social Web App To Launch Before The End Of May

While Donald Trump and his associates have often touted Truth Social as a beacon of free speech and a means to stand up to big tech, the app itself has had a rocky first few months and faced a low uptake, even among the Trump faithful. The platform was expected to be Trump’s official mouthpiece after being removed from all major social media platforms last year. However, Trump appears to have only posted once since its inception in February. Instead of using Truth Social, Trump continues to prefer to communicate with the media via blog posts and press releases.
While many expect Musk to revoke Donald Trump’s Twitter ban once his takeover of the micro-blogging platform is finalized, that doesn’t seem likely to matter. In an interview with Fox News late last month, the former U.S. President made clear that he won’t be returning to Twitter even if his account is reinstated following Musk’s takeover. Instead, he said he will stay on Truth Social and post more regularly than he has so far.
