Toilet Paper Roll Bat Craft – Great Idea for Halloween Crafting

Fall and Halloween are bat time! We love these little nocturnal creatures and have shared with you some tutorials on bat art and crafting in the past.

We’ll show you how to draw a bat, how to make a bat using strips of paper (one of our favorite projects because it can also be used as a wreath), and how to make a bat horn marker, among many other fun ideas.

How to make bat crafts out of toilet paper?

what do you need:

  • Toilet paper rolls (or tissue rolls or craft rolls)
  • black paint
  • white paint
  • black cardboard
  • white cardboard
  • black marker
  • fine brush
  • Wide brush or sponge brush
  • A pair of scissors
  • glue

Step-by-step instructions

Start by painting the paper roll black.

Allow the paint to dry completely before proceeding to the next step.

Fold the tops of the sides down to form a curved shape (see next photo).

Squeeze the top to secure the shape (you can also add a little glue to hold things in place).

Fold the black paper in half and cut out the shape of the wings.

Apply glue to the center of the wing shape.

Glue the wings to the back of the black toilet paper roll. Pretty and clean, right?

Draw two big eyes on white paper.

Cut them out.

Stick them on the toilet paper roll.

Alternatively, you can use sticky eyes or stickers.

Paint the mouth with white paint (and add two sharp teeth to brighten up your Halloween toilet paper).

Finish!
