Sony delays its new Spider-Verse movie – but adds more Marvel films to its schedule

Sony has delayed Spider-Man: Beyond Spider-Man Part 1.

The sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, originally scheduled for October 7, 2022, has now been pushed back to June 2, 2023, an eight-month delay.

Late last year, Shameik Moore’s Miles Morales reunited with Spider-Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld) from across the universe for the first time in “Through the Spider-Verse” Man”. It was also included in the announcement that Crossover Spider-Man would be split into two parts.

About the decision to split the film in two, producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller told EW: “Myers’ story is epic. We’ve written what we thought it should and surprised us The thing is, we realized it was two movies and not one.”

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Part 1 has been delayed by Sony.

The first look at Across the Spider-Verse debuted late last year, featuring Shameik Moore’s Miles Morales reuniting with the universe-hopping Spider-Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld). It was also bundled with the announcement that Across the Spider-Verse would be a two-parter.
