Motorola Launches Pair of Mid-Range 5G Phones With Nifty Specs

From $400

Motorola, which launched its first phone in 1973, remains a major player in the field, with two new 5G phones due next week.

Motorola has just officially announced the Moto G Stylus 5G and Moto G 5G smartphones, according to a company press release. These phones come with decent specs and, perhaps more importantly, attractive price tags.

Let’s start with the Moto G Stylus 5G, not to be confused with the eponymous Moto G Stylus released in February. Powered by the Snapdragon 695 chipset, the phone features a 6.8-inch full HD+ 120Hz display, a 5000mAh battery, and plenty of RAM and storage options.

Apparently, the Moto G Stylus 5G also comes with a stylus, making it a clear competitor to phones like the Samsung Galaxy S22, albeit at a significantly lower price. Pricing for this Motorola phone starts at $500.

The Moto G 5G doesn’t have a stylus, but has a 5,000 mAh battery, a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a 90 Hz refresh rate, a 50 MP main camera, and a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset. RAM varies, up to 256 GB and 6 GB. Moto 5G starts at just $400.

The Moto G Stylus 5G is available for pre-order today, and the phone will ship on April 28. The Moto G 5G will go on sale on May 19, so you’ll have to wait a little longer.
