Change Your Caller ID on AT&T

You can change the name on the Caller ID from the AT&T website. Caller ID name is the name displayed on landline phones with caller ID. If it’s stored on someone’s phone as a contact, that information won’t be overwritten.

Here’s how to change your Caller ID information from the AT&T website.

You may need to log out and back in to see the changes. It may take up to 72 hours (weekdays only) for landlines to display the updated Caller ID name, and this may not change until people delete your number from their Caller ID history.

Change Your Caller ID on T-Mobile/Sprint

Former Sprint customers who switched to T-Mobile after the merger were able to switch online. T-Mobile users should call Customer Service (611 from your cell phone) and ask to change your Caller ID name.

Follow the steps below to make changes on the Sprint website.

Visit the Sprint website and log in.

click Change caller ID name

Change Your Caller ID on Verizon

Verizon refers to Caller ID as Shared Name ID. Since other carriers may not support it, the company cannot guarantee that the Shared Name ID will be displayed when making outgoing calls. Your Shared Name ID also doesn’t overwrite contact information stored on someone’s phone.

You can make changes on the Verizon website or mobile app.

To make changes on the Verizon website, follow the steps below. First, log into my Verizon.

Hover over Account and select Plugins and Apps

click View all

click Product Details Under Share Name ID.

click Manage share name IDs

Select line.

Choose an option.You can choose between custom name, billing part
name or your 10-digit phone number.

click save Changes

Processing changes can take up to 24 hours.
