Halo actor Pablo Schreiber has a message for those who wanted the series to fail

Halo actor Pablo Schreiber doesn’t care if you don’t like the new series.

In an Instagram post celebrating the show’s successful premiere, Schreiber thanked fans who supported him and addressed the show’s critics directly, all of whom are big fans of the video game franchise.

“To all the ‘fans’ against the home team who hate this show before watching it and disagree with what we’re doing, I respect your opinion and love you,” Schreiber wrote. “I will continue to work hard every day. Work to make this show the best version of it, bringing attention and respect to this halo universe we love. For all of us.”

The series, which aired exclusively on Paramount Plus, premiered on March 24 to mixed reviews. Still, the show is “the second most-streamed entertainment show in the United States.” Last week, just after CODA (according to Schreiber), Paramount Plus built the most-watched premiere global audience of all time. The streaming platform has already ordered a second season.

Sreiber plays Master Chief, the face of the Halo series, opposite Jen Taylor, who reprises the role of Cortana in the game series, and Natascha McElhone as Dr. Halsey. Showrunner Steven Kane has also previously addressed skeptical fans of the video game series curious about what the TV adaptation thinks of the Master Chief.

“For all the ‘fans’ rooting against the home team, who hated the show before they saw it and disagree with what we are doing, I respect your opinion and I love you too,” Schreiber wrote. “And I will keep working my ass off each and every day to make this show the best version of itself, to bring attention and respect to this Halo universe we love. For all of us.”

The streaming platform has already ordered a second season.
Screiber stars as Master Chief, the face of the Halo franchise, alongside Jen Taylor, reprising her game series role as Cortana, Natascha McElhone as Dr. Halsey.
