Tutorial on How to Make a Father’s Day Trophy Card

what do you need:

  • Our model – read at the end of this tutorial
  • Construction paper (letter or A4 size) in trophy color (gold, orange or similar)
  • Other color details:
  • A pair of scissors
  • glue
  • Optional: Foam No. 1

Follow the instructions step by step

Print our model on construction paper. We chose yellow for our trophy card.

Cut out all template parts.

Fold the trophy card along the dotted line.

Make sure the folds are super clear: We make our defined folds by threading a craft stick through them, which is an effective and inexpensive tool, especially if you’re crafting in class.

Cut along the entire line to give it the shape of a trophy. Do not cut the dotted lines at the top and bottom of the trophy.

Glue the handles to the trophy; you can attach them to the front or back of the card.

Take the shape of a circle. As you can see, there are two circles, one inside the other.

You can color on the larger circle (without coloring the inner smaller circle) or trace the larger circle onto construction paper of a different color.

Once you’ve drawn the circle, cut it out.

Now cut the smallest circle from the template.

Glue the smaller circle inside the larger circle.

Draw a rectangle on white paper (you can also leave it as it is or choose a different color).

Cut out a rectangle.

Glue the rectangle to the bottom of the trophy card.

Stick the circle on the trophy card.

If there is, put a foam sticker (or other sticker) on the circle. Dad number one, right?

Alternatively, you can also write the numbers with a marker.

Who will get the trophy? what is that? Our trophies are for the best dads, but your wording can be more creative.

You can go further by decorating trophies. Add gems, ribbons, stickers…

Finally, add a personal message to this fun Father’s Day card.

How to Make a Father’s Day Trophy Card Tutorial

What do you need:
our model – get it at the end of this tutorial
construction paper (letter or A4 size) in trophy colors (golden yellow, orange or similar)
other colors for details
the scissors
glue
optional: foam number 1
Follow the step by step instructions
Print our model on construction paper. We chose yellow for our trophy card.

Cut out all the pieces from the template.

Fold the trophy card along the dotted line.
Make sure the crease is super sharp – we make our creases sharp by running a craft stick over the crease – an effective and inexpensive tool, especially if you’re doing crafts in the classroom.

Cut along the full line to give the shape of the trophy. Do not cut the dotted line at the top and bottom of the trophy.

Glue the handles to the trophy – you can glue them to the front or back of the card.

Take the shape of the circle. As you can see, there are two circle shapes, one inside the other.
You can color the larger circle (without coloring the smaller one inside) or trace the larger circle on different colored construction paper.

If you traced the circle, cut it out.

Now cut out the smaller circle from the template.

Glue the smaller circle inside the larger one.

Trace the rectangle on white paper (you can also leave it as it is, or choose another color).

Cut out the rectangle.

Glue the rectangle to the bottom of the trophy card.

Glue the circle to the top of the trophy card.

If you have one, stick a foam sticker (or other sticker) inside the circle. Dad number one, right?
Alternatively, you can also write the number with a marker.

Who is awarded the trophy? And what is it? Our trophy goes to the best dad, but you can get even more creative with your wording.

You can go even further by decorating the trophy. Add gems, ribbons, stickers…

Finally, add a personal message inside this fun Father’s Day card.
