You can do this with cotton balls or tissue paper. It can be decorated with paper buttons, scarves and carrot noses that you can find in our templates, or you can use real buttons and other accessories.
How To Make Cotton Ball Snowman Crafts – DIY Christmas Cards
what do you need:
- Our printable templates
- heavier paper
- coloring supplies
- Cotton balls or tissue paper (or leave blank)
- A pair of scissors
step by step explanation
Print out our Snowman Card Template and color the buttons, scarves and nose.
Cut out the snowman model and accessories.
It also crops photos. You can also ask the kids here to draw a self-portrait.
Glue the photo on the area provided (it’s best to use a glue stick as it won’t crumple the photo).
Fold along the dotted line.
If you are using large cotton balls, break them into small pieces.
Roll them between your hands to make “small cotton balls.”
Do a few. Alternatively, you can use tissue paper rolled up into small balls.
Apply glue to the card. We start by applying glue around the photo.
Glue the cotton ball to the card. Add glue if necessary.
Then move toward the body.
Cover it with a cotton ball.
Add details, apply glue to the scarf, and attach to the snowman.
Do the same for the button.
You can stop here and add a carrot nose to your photo.
All that’s left is to write a personal message on the card.
And gift to family and friends.

How to make a snowman craft with a cotton ball – DIY Christmas card
What do you need:
our printable template
heavier printing paper
cotton balls or tissue paper (or just leave blank)
Step by step tutorial
Print our snowman card template and color in the buttons, scarf and nose.
Cut out the snowman model and accessories.
Also cut the photo. You can also ask children to draw a self-portrait here.
Paste the photo in the designated area (stick glue is best because it won’t crease the photo).
Fold along the dotted lines.
If you are working with large cotton balls, tear them into smaller pieces.
Roll them between your hands to make “little cotton balls”.
