Noah was relieved by this because earlier in the night, he posted on Instagram that he was performing from his room, which “was not planned. I’d much rather be on that stage with the other contestants but Covid said otherwise!! Voice is pretty rough but I’m gonna give it my all guys, thank y’all so much for any support.” Despite Noah thinking that his voice was not ready to perform, he easily made it into the Top 5.
Noah has been one of the most consistent contestants from American Idol season 20. Week after week, he has given the audience his all, singing from his heart and revealing more and more of himself. Although he may have been shocked that he advanced into the Top 5 because of his COVID-19 diagnosis, it was no surprise to his adoring fans that he made it through.
