Uncle Sam’s Instructions

If you’re working with younger kids and making keepsakes for family members, you’ll need to draw your own hands. Older kids can draw their own hands, and Uncle Sam’s handprint art is designed for older kids because it’s more involved.

Ask the children to draw their hands like this: 3 red middle fingers, skin tone thumb and pinky tip, blue fist and pinky, and white palm.

step 1

Have them press their hands firmly on the canvas or paper, along the paper (three middle fingers together, pinky and fist apart). It makes the body. Wait for the print to dry completely. Ready for second hand printing.

Paint the palm with flesh-colored paint, blue for the middle finger, and red for the index and index fingers. Flip the canvas over and press your hand (on the previous print).

Let the print dry completely.

Finish the hat by brushing or fingering red and pressing. Dip your fingertips in flesh-colored paint to make ears.

Then dip your fingertips in the white paint and give Uncle Sam some hair and beard.

Step 2-1

Let the paint dry completely.

decorate! Use a black marker to outline the face, draw a tie, add outlines if necessary, and add some stripes to the shirt.

Step 3-1

Your Uncle Sam handprint creation is complete!

Bald Eagle Instructions for Use

Bald Eagle Handprint Art is easier and therefore more suitable for younger children. For this eagle handprint, make sure to use your canvas in a horizontal position. You can also paint the canvas with light colors (eg light gray, light blue) to make the eagle stand out more.

Paint the three middle fingers with white paint.

Step 1-1

Press the canvas with your hand. Let it dry.

Continue to paint your hands brown and your thumbs white.

Step 1-2

Press your hand firmly on one side of the canvas. Repeat this step with the other hand, squeezing with the first hand.

Let the print dry completely.

For the beak, dip your fingertips in the yellow paint and press against the eagle’s head.

second step

Let the paint dry completely.

Add details with a black marker.

Uncle Sam Instructions
If you are working with younger children, making souvenirs for their family members, you will need to paint your hands yourself. Older kids can paint their hands on their own, and Uncle Sam’s handprint art is for older kids because it’s more complicated.
Let the children paint their hands as follows – 3 red middle fingers, skin-colored thumb and little finger tip, fist and little finger blue, and white palm.

Ask them to press the hand firmly on the canvases or paper – down the paper (the middle three fingers together and the little finger and fist apart). It makes the body. Wait for the impression to dry completely. Get ready for second hand printing.
Paint the palm with flesh-colored paint, the middle finger blue, the index and index finger red. Flip the canvas over and press the hand down (above the previous print).
Let the impression dry completely.
Finish the hat by painting with a brush or finger painting red and pressing it. Dip your fingertips in flesh-colored paint and make ears.
Then dip your fingertip in white paint and give Uncle Sam some hair and a beard.

Let the paint dry completely.
Decorate! Draw the face with a black marker, paint a tie, add outlines if necessary and a few stripes on the shirt.

Your Uncle Sam handprint creation is complete!

Bald Eagle Instructions
Bald eagle handprint art is easier, so more suitable for young children. For this eagle handprint, be sure to use your canvas in landscape position. You can also paint the canvas with a light base color (light gray, light blue for example) to make the eagle stand out more.
Paint the 3 middle fingers with white paint.

Press your hand down on the canvas. Let it dry.
Continue by painting the hand brown and the thumb white.

Press your hand firmly on the canvas, on one side. Repeat this step with the other hand and press it next to the first.
Let the impression dry completely.
For the beak, you can dip your fingertip in yellow paint and press it to the eagle head.

Let the paint dry completely.
Add details with a black marker.

Your eagle handprint job is done!
